Our History

FAM began in 1998 as L&L Machine and was located in Cadillac, Michigan. The business began by doing overflow work from a then employer using a small turret lathe. With an increase in this overflow work, L&L Machine incorporated in 2000 and expanded operations with the purchase of their first screw machine. This overflow work continued to grow and in 2006 with the blessing of his employer, Wade began full time on L&L Machine business. Since then the company gradually expanded by adding two more oversize Davenport machines, Harding turret lathe, and necessary support equipment.

In 2014, L&L Machine changed its name to Full Auto Machine Inc. before relocating to Mesa, Arizona in March 2015. Late December 2015, the company converted from a Michigan corporation to an Arizona LLC, retaining the Full Auto Machine name.

During this transition, Full Auto Machine retained its existing customers and began developing additional business relationships in the southwest. Today our largest customer continues to be the employer that got Wade started in 1998 and 2000.

“Starting this business from scratch has taught me a few things: how to be resourceful, how to be inventive, how to keep cost down, a man is worth what he produces, and to be down to earth.” – Wade Lumbert, owner
